Preview 2016

At first we want to inform you about the artistic equipment which can be used after making an agreement by individuals

and families with their children who

just booked the accommodation and the gardens.
The atmosphere is not only offering relaxation but also a good inspiration
in the garden of the muses directly on the wonderful beache

We have several stage areas. In the upper part of the property there is a 70 square meter large stage with a wooden floor and a 100 square meter large court space. This can be used for theatre or musical performances.
On the right a pavilion exists of 35 square meter size. There is a baby grand piano which can easily be pulled onto the large stage. See our website http://www.idyllion.eu/ for our annual program and for pictures.
This shall serve as an inspiration for a visit. You are very welcome to carry out your own project with us. The second, lower stage at the front part of our yard is also canopied and centred in a 4000 square meter orchard and flower garden.
The distance to the upper stage is roughly 70 meters. If you hire all of the facility, it would be possible to open a third or fourth stage next to bungalow number 2 only 30 meters away from the beach and an area next to the open air baking stove.
These two stage areas are protected from rain and sun by a canopy decorated with naturally grown grape-vines.
A number of practice rooms are available such as the music pavilion, the club room basement, and two further practice rooms, each 15 square meters in size. They are all equipped with mechanical pianos and can be locked.
On top of this there are 4 E-pianos, a cello, a double bass, 3 concert drums, a drum -set and two congas. This can be used anywhere.

b) Speak and philosophize in Ancient Greek
in the Garden of the Muses

24st Anniversary Celebration !
13 – 27 August, 2016 at the Hellenikon Idyllion

Travel to Greece and improve and deepen your knowledge of Attic Greek. Which friend of Hellas wouldn’t be tempted? In the entire world there is only one opportunity to do so.
Students from many countries and backgrounds assemble in a large, shady garden on the rocky shores of the Gulf of Corinth
and discover to their surprise that they can converse, read and discuss stimulating ancient texts all in the language of ancient Greece.

Letter from Aristotle to Alexander

The seminar, a project of the Hellenikon Idyllion, has been offered by the center's founder Andreas Drekis for twenty years as a special opportunity for students of ancient Greek. His hotel also hosts musicians and artists, whose concerts and performances enliven many an evening. A short trip to see objects of interest and a production in an ancient theatre is also possible.
The Hellenikon Idyllion is located on the north coast of the Peloponnese near Aigion, a Greek vacation destination thanks to its particularly alluring and relaxing character. Accommodation is available in rooms with 3-4 beds for student participants. Single and double-bed rooms are also available to adults upon request.
The price for accommodation in the 3-4 bed rooms and for the course is 250.- Euros. It is a promotion project  of Andreas Drekis, Hellenikon Idyllion
